Waterfront Vacation Cabin - Rental Home - Cottage on Kentucky Lake
General Policies
Our cabin is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is not the place for parties, family reunions or wild children. The cabin is for the exclusive use of the people on the rental agreement. We like and respect our neighbors and expect you to do the same.
If the policies on the rental agreement are not followed you will be asked to leave and will not recieve any refund of rent or damage/cleaning deposit. We want you to have fun and enjoy our great area, but if your plans include large get togethers or parties please choose somewhere else.
Reservations
Reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of reservation. The remaining 50% is due 30 days in advance. We accept credit cards, cash, check or money orders for deposits and payments.
Cancellations
Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of rental dates will recieve a refund of the deposit minus a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 30 days from rental dates will only recieve a refund (minus $100 cancellation fee) if the rental dates are rebooked.
Cleaning/Damage Deposit
A $350 dollar cleaning and damage deposit is requred at the time of reservation. We accept a credit card guarantee in this amount which is included in our rental agreement. The fee will not be charged if there is no damage , excessive cleaning or other violations of our rental agreement.
Boat Dock
A slip for one boat is available in our community dock located right in front of the cabin. The slip can accommodate boats up to 20- 21 feet long and 8 feet wide. It is included free with the cabin rental.
TVA controls the level of Kentucky Lake and from April 1st through Labor Day there is plenty of water. After Labor Day, TVA lowers the lake to "winter pool" (5 feet lower than "summer pool") and the boat dock IS NOT available.
We are not responsible for the level of the lake and no cancellations or refunds will be given in the event that the boat slip is unavailable.
If you have a larger boat or if the water level is too shallow to use the community boat dock you can keep it at the Moors Marina. They have covered boat slips that you can rent by the night. For more information contact Moors Marina
Please respect our neighbors and only park in the slip designated. Under no circumstance are you to use or walk on other peoples private docks. Doing so will cause forfeiture of your $350 damage deposit.
Children are not allowed to play on the dock unless accompanied by an adult.
